| 352 | Mark Adams | I agree wholeheartedly with this petition. Long live CW. |
| 353 | Jean Alley | Skimmer should not be allowed in CW contests |
| 354 | Vanderydt Theo | It's obvious we should keep CW a mode for
skilfull operators who don't need a machine to
help them understand whats going on ! |

| 363 | Guy Molinari | This technology does not advance the art of radio |
| 364 | Art | Fully agree. The center point in Ham Radio is a radio operator and not the machine. Contests are supposed to select the best operators - not the most sophisticated equipment AND/OR the most clever way of cheating the spirit of contesting. |

| 366 | Jamie Lo | Yes, for world-class high-power stations this is probably OK. I'm concerned about
low power and especially QRP. Here, it's very helpful to find a new mult who's calling
CQ with no takers. Skimmer will exist and will be used by non-competitors regardless
of the rules. The instant the mult starts CQing, some skimmers will find it. Then,
there'll be a pileup of high-power non-competitors. Overall, I'd expect QRP
scores to go way down. |
| 367 | Laurent BELLAY FM5BH | "We respectfully request that CW Skimmer not be allowed for anyone submitting an entry to a CW Contest in any category in order to preserve the sport we love". I am agree.
Long live to real CW.

| 374 | Nasko , LZ9R ( LZ3YY ) | Skimmer will kill the CW art. Please do not use it
on RTTY too.RTTY also needs a human behind
radio.Using a skimmer for log checking by
contest sponsors is OK to me. |
| 375 | Igor Avdeev | |
| 376 | Jeff Briggs | Ban the Skimmer. It would change single operator contesting into "the rest of us vs. the machines." Allowing it would be a major mistake.

| 378 | K2KW Kenny Silverman | Neat technology: maybe use it for log checking, but not for operators. |

| 384 | Vladimir VE3IAE/EU1SA | Unlike previous technical and technological innovations, Skimmer causes degradation of operator's skills, therefore it cannot be used in contesting and (preferably) the amateur radio in general. |
| 385 | Llewellyn P. Rose, W5OZI | |
| 386 | Michael KC2EGL | Why bother operating at all if you are going to let a computer do all the fun stuff for you. Keep the human element in CW. Keep your computer out of operating as much as possilbe. For logging? Yes. As a keyer yes? As a CW reader? NO! At least make some effort when operating. Do your own reading of what is being sent. If you are going to let a computer to do all the work then go enter those cell phone text messaging contests and leave the airwaves to those who really want to put them to use. |
