As skateboarders and citizens from the Coral Gables area, we believe that if a public skate park were to be built, it would benefit the tax paying citizens as well as the skateboarders in the Coral Gables area. There is no need for it to be massive, a small skate park would be fine. We would have a set place to skateboard instead of roaming the streets and trying to find spots. The issue with street skateboarding is that people may complain you are damaging property whether it is private or not and you cannot stay in one place for awhile. There would be no worries about liability because there would be a waiver that would be needed to sign before skateboarding the park. There would also be a less chance that private or public property would be damaged by skateboarding.There are many public tennis courts and a few baseball fields so why isn't there a skate park in the Coral Gables area if skateboarding has become a legitimate sport. It would be the best solution for everyone. Thank you
