The East end skate park located by John Rhodes arena is to far for the younger skate boarding children to get to. Also there are used needles found on the ground around the area. The children and parents in the west end just want a safe play for the kids to skateboard. If the city can come up with the funding to build a new West End community center, I cannot see why they cannot come up with the funding for a west end skate park as well.
