Hi my name is Walker Mackay. Have you ever wanted to go to a skate park but they are all to far away. WellI know we need a new skate park in Glenwood Elementarys community. I got the idea of starting a petition when me and a friend went to my school to practise ollie off of things and onto things and as I was there my school counsellor was leaving and told us we couldn't skateboard there because it was school property and if we got hurt they would blame it on the school because we were on school property. I know if we put a skate park in Glenwood Elementarys school yard that it would keep the kids of that community off the streets where it is not as safe like at a skate park.I am not asking for a huge skatepark where there is a bowl or any major skill requirements.All I am talking about is a couple of platforms and grinding rails for people to build there so they can go to the higher skill and age requirements like thomas haney. I know they are already building a new skate park in Harris BaseBall Park but that is still to far away for the people in my community. They need a nearby skate park so they will stay off the streets where it is too dangerous to skateboard. My name is Walker Mackay and this is why we need a skatepark at Glenwood Elementary or Lions Park.
