Name: Anonymous on Dec 8, 2011Comments: I do not mind adding more time to the school day, but to make it a 7.5 hour day for children is ridiculous. As an educator and as a parent I feel that my children will miss out on extracurricular activites as well as family time. Let's make a better decision for our children, one that will actually work. A 7.5 hour long day is not the answer.Flag

Name: Jalia Sheppard on Dec 25, 2011Comments: The fact the CPS school system is trying extend the school day by 90 minutes is a huge problem for me and fellow students( within my school and other schools). I already dont get out of school until 2:45 therefore if this plan is carried out than the ressults my dissmisal time being about 4:00 which would affect my ability to play sports, have a job after school or just relax and that doesn't even account for my time to do homework. This is not a good plan. Thank you.Flag

We already moved to a longer day this year and i find it's a struggle to make it to park district programs and get things done before 9 pm.Flag
