Campaign To Give Nick Faldo A Knighthood

The petition

By signing this petition, you believe Nick Faldo - the greatest British golfer of modern times - should be given a knighthood.

Faldo won six Majors in a glittering career, set up a nationwide junior golf academy, and in 1989 donated his entire winner's cheque from the World Matchplay Championship to childrens charities.

And he has never been rewarded properly by The Queen. It's therefore time he became 'Sir Nick'.

We have Sir Stiling Moss (no world title won); Sir Henry Cooper (no world title); Sir Bobby Charlton (one world cup); Sir Clive Woodward (one rugby world cup).

So surely Nick deserves to be knighted for winning 6 Majors - the biggest pizes in golf - at a time when golf was inundated with greats like Nicklaus, Watson and Ballesteros.

He is the greatest British golfer of the 20thCentury and it is a disgrace that he has no recognition for this incredible sporting feat.
