The petition


Through the implimentation of single status, nursery Nurses and TAs across the country have had their pay slashed, in some cases by up to 331 per month. Each authority decides on pay and conditions. We need a national pay structure to compensate for the hugh pay cuts and changes in conditions. We petition the Prime Minister to Impliment a national pay and career structure for Nursery Nurses and TAs that is commensurate with qualification, skills, ability and the huge responsibility undertaken when caring for and educating children

Petition sponsor

I am a Nursery Nurse with 25yrs experience and a Level 4 foundation degree in child care and education. Through the implimentation of single status my conditions of work and pay have been affected. Many of my coleagues are having to work 43 hours a week, 10 hours a week more, for the same pay they were receiving before single status was introduced. We need someone to look into our pay and conditions and a national pay scale introduced.
