It is apparent that our federal government can not govern and now always find themselves in deadlock. It is apparent that the real issue for the president and each congressman is about the next election. It is not about what is best for the country, but it is about how many votes each congressman or president might get based on the vote. All of their evaluation time is spent on counting votes and no time is spent on looking for a real solution. THIS PETITION: Change the constitution to allow only one term in office. Executive Branch 6 year term (one term only) House Branch 4 year term (one term only) Staggered in two year intervals so that only one half of the House of Representatives is required to leave every second year. Senate Branch 6 year term (only one term) staggered every 2 years, so that only one third of the Senate must leave on each 2 year aniversary.
