Comments: silver islet is the ideal location for small craft and large craft vessels to seek refuge. Also the silver islet dock would be the only other exit for the sibley provincial park in case of emergency. please fix this historic and versatile landmark.

Comments: The Silver Islet dock needs a major rebuild as soon as possible or the dock will collapse and the north shore will be with out a safe harbour refuge.

Comments: The Silver Islet dock is in need of urgent repair!! This dock is not only important for a harbour of refuge but also needed as a drop off spot for injured parties to meet the land ambulance from this area of the North shore. This dock is vital to facilitate the evacuation of the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park and Silver Islet in the event of a forest fire!!!!!!!!!!

Comments: The importance of the SI dock was again demonstated during a recent boat trip down the shore, where we assisted in the evacuation of an injured kayaker-the dock was the transfer point with the Thunder Bay ambulance. The present condition of the dock is definitely hazardous.

Comments: This site is one of the most historical in the Lakehead and a key element of the Silver Islet Community. For an area that wishes to encourage tourism and community pride, this is a logical and essential petition.

Comments: The dock and harbour have been at Silver Islet as long as the community has existed. If the dock go so does a major part of Ontario history.

Comments: The Silver Islet dock should be an integral part of the NMCA for access to and from the lake. With a population of 110,000 in Thunder Bay and thousands more in the surrounding area as well as a stop off for boaters from the US the dock must be maintained to accommodate the many wishing to accessing the NMCA.
