The Highland Council has recently instigated a purge on ALL non-approved signs within the Dornoch Parish.
This means that from now on, NONE of the businesses on the Retail Park (did you even know there *was* a Retail Park?), nor any other business or charity within the Community, may display any sign helping direct customers to their doors.
If you agree this is a step backwards, we would be grateful if you would sign this petition, so that we may show the Council the level of feeling against their decision.
We, the businesses of Dornoch, submit it would be better to agree on self-regulation of signage, rather than have a blanket ban that is damaging to the Community.

Lucy Wright, United Kingdom2 years ago Comments: The businesses and charities in Dornoch are spread all over the town, which rely on tourism for a significant portion of their income. As they are so spread out, it is not always apparent to tourists coming off buses that there are any shops in the town other than the ones on the main street. Given this limitation, it is imperative for the local economy that businesses are able to display signs in the town, to direct potential customers to their doors!
