Comments: Dear Presidents, I am the adoptive mother of four children. 2 sisters from Moscow (2000) a boy from Tver (2002) and a boy from Kazakhstan (2003) Let me assure you that these four children are totally and completely loved and well taken care of. Two of my children continue to speak Russian fluently. We have adopted not only Russian children but culture as well. We seek out Russian resturants, have Russian art in our home, attend the Moscow Ballet when in Los Angeles. The point I am trying to make is that these children didn't lose their heritage...we gained it. We consider ourselves a multicultured family. We have spend a large amount of time in Russia and loved it there. Adoption is a magnificent gift that everyone benefits from, before any changes are made, speak personally to those who have experienced it, the families. You are free to contact us and speak to our children about the gift you allowed them to receive, a family. 760-956-5402. Thank you for your time. Nicole Anderson. Mother of Valentina, Darya, Roman, and Eldar.

Comments: this is a tragic turn of events. I am adopting a child from Tverskaya, and she has been waiting patiently while I jumo through all the hurdles on both sides of the ocean....she wants to have a family...and all the love and opportunities we can bring her...I have already selected a nice little private school for her and a ballet school where she wants to study. she could never afford university in Russia...I will send her to university.... please don't deprive Dasha of the prossibility of a wonderful future...no Russian has stepped forward to adopt this great girl, who is 15 years old. Please help her ...don't hurt her...she has been hurt already so much....we want to give her a home and love. Wendy

Comments: As an adoptive parent who knows that international adoption (done in the most legal and moral way possible) is a valid way for children with no other options to have a permanent family. Please don't let Russian children sufer the same fate as Romanian children are now facing with the ban there on international adoption.
