I wish to show that there are still members of the public who respect those who work in the music and film industry, and do not want to see their work stolen from them. Internet piracy is slowly killing these industries, and we must act now if we want them to stay. This petition is aimed at people who do steal music, as well as those who don\'t. If you do illegally download music, I would like to make you aware of what you are doing: 1. You are decreasing profits for the music industry, meaning job cuts etc. 2. Less artists are likely to be signed due to a lack of funds. 3. Small labels, and upcoming artists are facing difficulty, as they cannot cope at all with the losses this creates. I will take an example of Andy McKee. His 2005 album was uploaded on the pirate bay, and he left this comment: "Yeah thanks a lot for uploading! It\'s not like I need to make a living with my music or anything. 8,676 thieves. If you really appreciate what I am doing, buy my CD legitimately so I can continue to compose music rather than work at K-Mart. I\'m not Metallica. I don\'t have hundreds of thousands of dollars, much less millions. Andy McKee" We must put a stop to this, before we lose all these people. Lets face it, without music and movies, would we enjoy life as much Sign this petition if you agree with me, help shut down the pirate bay, and other websites like it. Thankyou, Darren Anderson
