This is a petition from the anxious and desperate fans of the serial Kasturi. We are very unhappy and worried about the recent happenings both on-screen and off-screen in the serial!!!! It has been indicated that the lead pair of Robbie and Kasturi are splitting by the introduction of another parallel-lead!! All these rumors of Shubhangi Atre (playing the role of Kasturi) quitting the serial has left us very very upset and frustrated!!!
You must know that from day one, the amazing success of the serial Kasturi has been only due to the wonderful chemistry between the lead pair. In choosing these particular actors the Kasturi creative team and Balaji Television has really hit the bull’s eye!!! Kasturi’s innocent and yet strong character falling for the Rock-Star Robbie was so brilliantly portrayed by both Karan Patel and Shubhangi Atre that it has not only made this one of the most popular serials on television, but the charm and power of the lead players has made Kasturi a riveting love story that has got itself huge numbers of devoted audiences and fans, something unusual and virtually impossible in the world of tele-serials where the choices are many! For many of us it is the ONLY serial we watch. And to hear rumors that our favorite jodi is splitting and one of the main protagonist is quitting, is totally unacceptable to us fans!!
We have been patiently watching through the numerous plots and sub-plots of the serial with the only hope that we will soon see our favorite jodi together again. But these rumors and the current track has left all of us highly disappointed and completely disillusioned!!
Recent articles state that the character of Kasturi is to be played by Riddhi Nayak, who has entered this show as Kiran. We have been watching Robbie’s attraction towards Kiran, for the past 2 weeks or so. We are all trying extremely hard to accept this new entry, but it is of no use. No matter how hard we try - we cannot imagine anybody else with Robbie and we cannot accept anyone else taking the place of Kasturi in Robbie's life!! Nor can we see the role of Kasturi being played by any other actor other than Shubhangi Atre.
This new love track has forced us to write this petition, asking you Balaji Television / Kasturi creative team - WHY? Why this sudden change? This show has always been about Robbie and Kasturi’s undying passion for one another. The current track is completely proving otherwise and this new love track just isn’t working with us!!
What hurts the most is to watch 'Mitwa' - the song that always personified RoKa, being picturised on Robbie and Kiran. We request that you PLEASE select a different song. To top that, Kiran is seen wearing Kasturi’s old clothes- the ones in which Kasturi was seen at the start of the show and it is plain disgusting to see the new character trying to act as Kasturi's clone!
The question is not whether we like Riddhi Nayak or not, it is about being expected to accept a new actor taking on the role of Kasturi- the character Shubhangi Atre has played this many months. If this change had been made early on, then it might not have caused such heartbreak and angst among the viewers, but now it matters.......it matters A LOT. Because, not only have we grown used to watching Shubhangi as Kasturi, we are emotionally attached to that character. Shubhangi as Kasturi has been a great influence on us and by changing the face playing that character, the affection and affiliation we feel towards that character can never be the same.
Many viewers have quit watching Kasturi because of this new track, which automatically plays a prominent role in bringing the TRPs down! Those who are still watching the serial are watching with the only wish to see Karan and Shubhangi as Robbie and Kasturi. Both these wonderful actors have made their mark in the industry by working together as a team!
Ever since the character Kiran entered the serial, it is being shown that Robbie is getting attracted to her. But we DO NOT want to see a new love story, we want to see RoKa love story!! RoKa is a name we coined for our favorite jodi - Robbie-Kasturi!! We want to see Shubhangi Atre and Karan Patel working together. Working as a team, together has helped them become so immensely popular and achieve such stardom- not working alone!
Shubhangi and Karan have AMAZING chemistry- just one scene together by them, makes us fans, happy for the whole week! By introducing a new protagonist, not only has Robbie's character taken a beating, but the chemistry that needs to exist between lead pair has become non-existent!!! We are simply not getting any positive vibes from the Robbie-Kiran pair!! Forget close, this pair is not even in the vicinity of what the original RoKa jodi shared, in terms of chemistry, attraction or passion!! What RoKa had was something special, something real, and therefore imagining either character in love with someone else is just disgusting! We had to endure this torture once before when Kasturi married Raunak!! PLEASE do NOT put us through such a replusive track again!! The only thing that will come out of such a disastrous track is that you will you loose viewers!!
Again as I have mentioned earlier, the main attraction of this show, is the pure love that RoKa share and the passion and undying love of Robbie for Kasturi!!
So please, this is our humble request....do not destroy this serial!!! If you can not do anything else, then just give it a happy ending. Please don’t break up the lead pair and if at all possible do not change the actors playing the roles of Kasturi and Robbie. We just do not want to see one without the other!
