If every graduation is the exact same, then whats the fun in graduating Also, if the band can't play at a graduation.. whats the fun in that If every graduation was the same.. it would all be very boring. Graduation is a time for Celebration! Four hard years of school and now you are finally graduating and you find out its not going to be very spectacular Well, that just plain out sucks.Flag

Depending on how well we were taught, we will either succeed or fail. It is a sign that we're grown up and are able to make decisions. It should be up to the graduating class how its done, not some dumb, over-paid, superintendent or school district board who think they know us or just want a quick way to save a buck. We need graduation, its for us, not u, it should be up to us.Flag

I believe that it should be left to the decision of each individual graduating class as to where they want to graduate. The school where the majority of them more thank likely lived the 4 previous years of their life and they are all so accustomed to, or a very decorated building. They should also have the option of being able to make their graduation, a very important milestone in their life, a day that they are going to remember for a long time, a very unique memory. All the decisions should be left to each graduating class. Let them decide their own priorities. Let them be the ones to voice their own opinions.Flag

It is supposed to take place WHERE you graduated from. Without this, who will remember what great times we had at Streamwood Everyone looks forward to graduating when it's at their school, but who is going to want to graduate at the Sears Center Come on Sabre Band!Flag

Taking away the pride of being a student in that school also takes away the pride of that person in general. Students should be able to graduate from their school grounds because seeing the school one last time and graduating on those grounds is the last memories all those students have of their high school career before they pursue go into to college to study in a major that will benefit their future careers.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 5, 2007Comments: what is u46 thinking are they really considering not letting the band play some of the band kids have worked for along time and really want the band to play at their graduation the way they have played for other graduations for years. why would u46 seek to take the last high school memories away from the students who have worked 12 years to be at this point in their livesFlag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 5, 2007Comments: I graduated last year on the footballl field. If it had been at the Sears Center, I would have started some trouble with the situation. The high school tradition, since day one, was to take the walk across the stage that represents your journey from beginnig to end of your required education. It represents everything symbolically, and this includes the location being at the high school. It represents so many different things, and to take it away from current and future graduates is an outrage. I may not be part of this directly, but I still think its wrong.Flag
