On June 20th and June 22nd 2010, Students Against Animal Cruelty (SAAC) at Waterloo Public Interest Research Group (WPIRG) demonstrated in Waterloo Region against the exploitation of animals in the Shrine Circus.
Shriners use TZ Productions, a circus company that features many animals in captivity forced to live unnatural performing lives. The circus contracts performing
dogs, and they own horses and elephants who are shipped across North America, forced
to perform day after day, and are continuously chained when not in use. Please
sign the petition to help Students Against Animal Cruelty give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.
Our statement: "We will boycott the Shrine circus until they show as much compassion to non-human animals as they do to they children they help!"
