This petition is no longer accepting signatures. I would like to express my gratitude to those who took the time to sign the petition. I will mail the petition/letter to Senator Barack Obama’s Washington, D.C. office as promised. Again, thanks to all those who participated. It's a beautiful thing when black people show love and support for one another and I think our country needs more of that.

For those not aware, the media has been claiming that most African Americans don’t support or accept Senator Barack Obama because we feel he is not “black enough.” The person sponsoring this petition is an African American who feels such claims are questionable, unfair and not reflective of the general views in the black community.
