Having the Death Penalty in America also known as Capital punishment should be illegal. Ending a person life just because they committed a heinous crime is like letting that person off the hook. It should not be done. An majority of the people lives that are given the Death Penalty are innocent they were just at the wrong place at the wrong time or the eveidence that convicted the person of the crime isn't strong enough to say that they didn't do it. It cost billions of tax payers money each year to sentence a person to the the Death Penalty then it is to sentence them to jail for the rest of there lives.I believe that the person that committed the crime should be sentenced to jail for the rest of there life and think about the crimes they have done. That would be enough punishment as it is.
