This petition will be sent to Facebook, and copied to Hive7, the developers of the FB game: Knighthood. Knighthood is a strategy/wargame which attracts many ambitious players. Some of whom have chosen to take the game outside of itself in an attempt to disadvantage other players. One such tactic is to report an opponents account to Facebook as being a fact - as is what happened to the account of Anders Kleppe - in order that that player will be unable to access the game, and will be put at a disadvantage. However, the impact of these tactics go beyond the game - affecting the real lives, relationships and communication channels between the player, their friends, family, collegues, and other business contacts. Anders uses Facebook as his quintessential means of staying in touch with his daughters - which has been taken away from him by unscrupulous game play. This petition aims to raise awareness outside of the game and of Facebook, of the damage that uncontrolled, unregulated and unchecked 'banning' of Facebook users by others - and the impact is having on real peoples lives. Facebook bans first, and asks questions later! In other words, users are guilty until proven innocent. To have another users account banned simply requires a complainant to allege that the person is a fake account to have the account banned. Facebook DOES NOT CHECK THE VALIDITY OF THE CLAIMS BEING MADE: it simply bans first, and forces the banned person to prove they are real - a process that can take several weeks or months, and plenty of red tape. Help friends of Anders Kleppe get his Facebook account back again by signing this petition.
