Name: Grainne Gillespie on Sep 12, 2002State:Country: IEComments: Politicians should put their money where their mouth is and take mandatory drug testing themselves if they force it on students. How many politicians indulge in the socially acceptable and legal drugs cigarettes and alcohol themselves Alcohol causes more deaths than drugs, you're more likely to die from alchohol poisoning than you are from an esctasy overdose. I've seen people getting into furious brawls after having too much to drink whereas those who endulge in pot are just content to sit in an armchair in and float away to never-never landFlag

Name: Elizabeth Walton on Sep 12, 2002State: PACountry: USComments: I think that if I could have gotten a random drug test done on me while I was in high school, and now that I have a job that a random drug test can be done on me, I believe that people in power should be tested also. They represent us, as the people, to other nations of the world, and to other parts of our country. If we, the citizens on this country, can be tested at the whim of a hat, I believe that people in high political, very public jobs should HAVE to be tested.Flag

Name: Deanna Mintz on Sep 16, 2002State: WACountry: USComments: If the Supreme Court wishes to continue to assassinate our rights to privacy, then this bill should definately include everyone in office-all government officials, including our elected ones. The average citizen's right to refuse testing when not under suspicion of a crime or drug use should not be criminalized. What violation of our persons and Constitutional rights would be next! Forced medical procedures, blood drives, child-bearing, abortions, body part harvesting, spinal taps, housing of military or local law enforcement in citizen's homes, and seizures of private property without due process or fair monetary compensation Without suspicion of or conviction of illegal conduct, the government needs to keep their laws off of our bodies and our kids bodies. They also need to better regulate themselves so as to be better examples instead of sanctioned immoral creeps and criminals. No one should even be allowed in office for committing violent, drug-related, moderate financial, or serious immoral crimes and/or conduct.Flag
