Name: Anonymous on Oct 29, 2006Comments: Sirs - I am a regular visitor to the area, spending quite a substantial amount of money, in the pursuit of my hobby - sea angling. I feel the background study has not realistically assessed the recreational value of the area and consequently should be reviewed.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 30, 2006Comments: It is always difficult to measure the number of useers of a beach, as many will use it outside 'normal hours', which often aren't captured by a survey. You also dont measure how many people pass by to just view the beach.Flag

Name: Charlie Grey on Oct 30, 2006Comments: loosing the beach would be such a big loss to evry one that surfs on the area people come from alround as soon as theres any sign of a wave.for the people that dont surf reading this just check ot shark bait for a day with a wave forcast and see for yourself how many people are out making the most of it.it would be great to se the develop ment take into acount the surfers and include beter facilates for us after all its a sport that can be anoyone withough caseing any hasel and frendly on the inviroment so creating a beter surfing spot would be very benafisal to every oneFlag

Name: Mr Simon Pickles on Oct 30, 2006Comments: I use the beaches opposite the Carat's Cafe car park about 30 times a year for fishing. It is a great venue, there were 10 anglers there last Friday 27 Oct. I'm not a surfer but I've seen up to 30 along this strech when the surf's up.Flag

Name: Iain Tindall on Nov 8, 2006Comments: I am a local resident of southwick living directly opposite the proposed development. I wholeheartedly support the development of the harbour but am concerned at reports that beaches adjacent to the Carrats Cafe area will be blocked off or changed substantially. If this is the case please consider the hundreds of watersports enthusiasts who make use of this facility during summer and winter.Flag
