Get Shepherd Off The Air!

We, the undersigned, object to Tony Shepherd presenting Late Night London on Capital 95.8. We feel that Mr. Shepherd is not suited to the style to the show, and put forward the evidence that Tony has failed to construct a decent link on the show, ever. Examples of where Shepherd has shown his incomptetence are where he described talented singer/songwriter and accomplished pianist Regina Spektor\'s new single as "the sort of thing you hear on the telly." I\'m sure the critically acclaimed and immensely able artist would be proud of such an attribution. During the same show, he advertised the breakfast show - saying that listening to it would be "the perfect way to start the end of the week." Yes, start the end of the week. This man fails the fundamentals of being a radio presenter - wherein he can\'t talk properly, and has a voice that permanently sounds as though he has a permanent bout of flu! He also managed to ignore an e-mail from one of his listeners, neglecting to reply to the message, or draw attention to such on air, only to claim the joke mentioned in the message as his own, a few weeks on. His ineptitude is only compounded by the fact that the station as a whole is sounding excellent at the moment, and the fact that he replaced a far superior jock on this slot, and there are also much better presenters on at weekends. Tony Shepherd must be demoted back down to his role as an entertainment correspondent at once, to save the future of this marvellous station, but more importantly, as a gesture of goodwill to the suffering inhabitants of London town, and the surrounding areas.
