| 701 | SÃle NÃ Thuairisg | I believe what shell are doing in Belmullet is WRONG. The gas should definately be processed at sea. Though I was never there, I believe Beal na Bui is a beautiful, scenic area and should not be destroyed with on line pipes, which is also dangerous. I hope the common good is what will be maintained in this situation |
| 702 | derek | i cant believe our government is standing by and letting this happen, shame on them, shame on them.and the amount of money its costing the state to have all those keepers of the peace, that they call guards, what a joke, shame on them too. |
| 703 | bridanna fouhy | we know how you feel, keep fighting the cause. |
| 704 | John Dolan | To a Government complicit in selling an intricit part of our constitution and our natural resources to private enterprise my shame, disgust and anger.
To the people, fishermen, farmers, workers, campaigners who voluntarily have put so much on the line in protecting our natural resources, our human rights and those of our childrens and those of the generations to come my pride, empathy and solidarity. |

| 706 | Robert Collins | Just another example of the greed and stupid short term money grab of goverments in our great island and the total disragard of the Irish people and their vote and there constitutional rights.

| 709 | Nigel Murphy | The Restrictions of movement in waters currently in the media are the same as closing a public road for a period to allow works to be carried out. For both public and private works roads are closed all the time. People are informed when they cannot use the road in question, no matter how often they have used the road in the past the fact remains that for a period they will be closed. After the work is complete the road opens up again and life continues.
As it will here. The protests are keeping the fishermen off the water for longer than they would be if they allowed the work to be completed. Stop the protests and it will return the fishermen to the waters sooner. |

| 711 | Eóin Breathnach | After recent events in mayo we now have a situation where our citizens constitutional & human rights are being disregarded by this state.
This is not the republic found 87 years ago that allows the people to make the decisions on issue’s of self determination.
The legality of how the state through the Gardai & Shell are attempting to silence the voices & concerns of its citizens is in effect treason on its own citizens of the republic.
I am not & have not been a part of the protest to date but I am outraged at the callous way our citizens are attempting to be silenced in favor of a foreign company.
I am proposing that a solidarity concert with many supporting artists is organized to give the people a platform to their voice that should be their right under our own constitution.
Slán leat agus go raibh maith agat,
Eóin Breathnach. |

| 727 | Mr Schneebly | I feel sorry for the people of Rossport, those people who actually live in the town and not the RENT A CROWD that is there, Most of the town support the project. All safety concerns have been met and these "protesters for hire" will do some serious damage and then go off to some other project and thinks themselves as heros again. The people of North mayo who support this have been forced to keep quiet and made to look like idiots. its these "campaigners" how are doing the damage. |
| 728 | Dan FitzGerald | I am not concerned whether the processing takes place at sea or on land, so long as it is nowhere near communities. |

| 742 | Clare Chambers | The madness needs to stop now and for once the government - put in place by the people and who can be removed by the people - needs to listen and stop the total disregard for its own citizens. The sinking of the Iona, or any vessel, by masked and armed men should have been front page news and immediately investigated by the authorities and the news organisations but instead they seek to protect and cover up for those responsible. Protection MUST now be put in place for people trying to earn a living from the seas in this area. Do your duty politicians and statesmen - all it takes for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing! |

| 746 | glenda cimino | all over the world gas and oil drilling has caused pollution and death for local peoples, garnering riches for the few at a high cost to the many.[cf Ecuador and Peruvian Amazon, for instance] Oil and gas are nonrenewable resources and nonsustainable industries. Leave it in the ground. Develop free solar energy.Stop destroying the beautiful places on earth such as Mayo for shortsighted greed and dirty profits. |
