653 corneilius crowleyI am also calling for a full investigation of Shells international activities, (in the light of events in the Ogoni region of NIgeria, where many deaths have been attributed to Shell) in relation to the sinking of a Corrib fishermans boat on Thursday 11 June 2008. In what was an act of Piracy and Attempted Murder, two mens lives were placed in peril. The attack was targetted at people who are resisting the imposition of Shells gas pipeline, and was therefore in support of Shells activities. Behaviour of this nature cannot be allowed by any European Democratic Government or by the electorate that gave them a mandate.

661 A Karen McGowanMy ancestry is in County Mayo. I have great interests there. I treasure the environment, health & safety of the communities of Mayo. I was just in the area of the Shell to Sea protest this past summer. Corporations cannot control the world. It is time to stop them!

664 michael murphyTo Shell : Please remove your giant Jackboot off the honest god-faring people of Glengad. Your using your big International Co. as a big stick to trample on ordinary folk. There is more to be made from tourism in that area if the natural beauty and stunning landscape there could be left alone. Please have some humanity. Michael

679 RealistThe "campaigners" for this "Shell to sea" are doing more damage to North Mayo than anyone else. Ye are destroying the community and putting a major divide in the area between the majority of people which have no problem with what shell are doing and the few people that dont like what is happening there. Most of ye have no ties to the area and in general are a bunch of wasters and the Programme on TV3 really showed most of ye for what ye are.Bet this wont be posted here though. God forbid someone might actually disagree with ye lot.

683 Mayo ManThe Shell to Sea Protests are a disgrace to us, to the people of Mayo, causing the waste of taxpayers money and holding up a much needed project. Earlier protests got safety concerns addressed but the time for the protests has come to an end. it is time for everyone to go home now.

688 Patrick TreacyThe lack of coverage of this issue in the national press is a scandal. If this issue were put to a national referendum I suspect the results would be very interesting.
689 matt millsWith so little fossil fuel left this reserve should be capped so that it can be used when it is really needed by the Irish people.
690 Frank DoyleYes, a national referendum would surely show the majority of people are, as I am in favour of the Shell Project!!

692 Jovan AtanackovicBesides the obvious environmental concerns of locating this on land, we are literally being robbed by Shell. The Gas is worth a hell of a lot more than what we are going to get for it.
693 Ed harperThis is a threefold wickedness: damage to the environment, giving away revenue unnecessarily whilst soaking the ordinary citizen to pay for the FF mismanagement, and a criminal attack on the civil liberties of the ordinary citizen which if tolerated will push the boundaries of State abuse of all of us.
