Name: Arthur Wexell on Mar 15, 2011Comments: Theres a huge abundance of young downhill skates growing in laguna beach. Just like other sports its growing very fast. The hills of laguna beach are perfect for downhill skateboarding and as athletes these skateboarders will do whatever it takes to stay safe and keep skating these hills. Does Laguna Beach want tobe the city to just ban downhill skateboarding and shut out the happiness and bennefits that could come of this growing sport? I Think instead the city should compromise and work with the skaters as one community thats willing to change. We could have the entire city be aware of the skaters and vise versa. If the city and the skaters can work together toward one equally bennefitting goal where evryone can be happy then that would just be a beautiful miracle now wouldnt it?Flag

Name: Mikko Biffle on Mar 15, 2011Comments: I hope there can be some happy medium that allows the riders to ride some of the steep hills at their level, rather than dumb the sport down. It will lead to outlaw behavior, by kids that normally wouldn't behave that way. Don't disenfranchise a popular sport because you don't understand it. Safety gear and awareness are what's needed.Flag
