Name: David Alp on Apr 24, 2010Comments: Please share it with us, I truly realize and sympathize with your personal reasons for not wanting to work with Warner Home Video and Michael Feltenstein, but do it for Judy! She worked so HARD on 'A Star Is Born' and was devastated when it was cut. I think her children and Grand-children have a right to see this film fully uncut as Judy made it back in 1954. It has been 56 years since anyone saw it in its complete version.... Please share it with the rest of the world.. We can even start up another petition if neccessary so that you get special mention in the credits for being the person who saved "A Star Is Born". But I think the main reason is for our Judy.. She would be thrilled about all of this if she was still with us... Thank you.Flag

Name: Robert Waters on Apr 24, 2010Comments: Not only was the butchered version of the movie a travesty but it cost Judy Garland the Academy Award that year. Please allow the world to see the original vision that Judy Garland, Sid Luft and George Cukor originally intended. Fans everywhere are counting on you.Flag

Name: Fred Baetz on Apr 24, 2010Comments: Sir, As a film producer and a restorer of many classic Warner Bros. films such as "East of Eden", "Strangers on a Train" "The Wild Bunch", "Giant" and "A Star is Born" among others, you of all people realize what this gift would mean to the film community and legions of Judy Garland fans. I know when I worked on the 50th Anniversary Albums at Warners and tried to find missing pieces of this film to put on the album and to fail because they were no longer to be had by the studio was a great disappointment to myself and the producers of said album. So I ask you to release this treasure if at all possible .. Thank You, Fred BaetzFlag

Name: Betty Mitchell on Apr 24, 2010Comments: OH MY GOD!!! Michael darling!! You've made my day! This is GREAT news! You did such a wonderful job with 'Liza With A Z'.. It was a terrific job! I LOVE that DVD and the loving way in which you restored it from 16mm to 35mm etc.. You honestly MUST let us all have "A Star Is Born" (1954) in it's complete version? I'm begging you! I really am!! I grew up with a VHS version that was cut, recorded off the television, (I mean without all of the re-instated musical numbers from Haver), but if you DO really have the true original 1954 uncut version then I'm begging you to let us fans see it! Please please please Michael!! It's just not the same with all those black and white still shots over the dialogue.. Please do the decent thing and let us all have it on DVD. Think of Judy! She would be SO happy up there in heaven to know what you have done! Even in her final year, 1969, she didn't know where the original uncut version was, so DO IT FOR JUDY! Love Betty xxFlag

Name: Burl Lampert on Apr 24, 2010Comments: Amen to the above. If you DO have a copy is there some unselfish or altruistic motive? I attended the 1983 re-release in Hollywood, even got to be in the group that gathered on the mezzanine after the showing. Someone asked WHY they deleted the non-musical segments that the did, and he said "Because they were her funniest scenes...the story of her wait for Norman to call her revealed that Esther, aside from Judy, was funny in her own right. And are we sure that James Aubrey was not lurking on the lot with a big ole pair of shears?Flag

Sounds like some kind of evil ego boosting game. Please help restore "A Star Is Born". I`m 76 years old now. How long do I have to wait ? George MoffattFlag
