Name: Glenn Gallant on Feb 5, 2010Comments: There is only one way I would agree to selling NB Power , that is if after we get rid of the goverment that did it, we can reverse it with no cost to the NB taxpayer , so I guess I will vote NO , And I mean both for the Graham goverment and the sale of NB Power .Flag

Name: Mary Turnbull on Feb 7, 2010Comments: this is a poorly put together deal that helps only those that already have and leaves the residential and small buisness owners with nothing except large increase in power rates in the future. Smells rotten ! And Quebec will end up owning our beautiful river side land. Boo HissFlag

Name: Willi Nolan on Feb 15, 2010Comments: Dear Shawn, Over the last 18 months I have tried repeatedly to contact you regarding the sale and other issues related to NB Power. Although you are my MLA, you have yet to contact me. My analysis of available information is that selling the utility may well be illegal, would be financially unsound and is against the stated goals of your administration before and after the last two elections. Perhaps most importantly, the right of the NB government to arrange to sell property to which it has no clear legal title or right to negotiate is not established. Your government must address this key concern with regard to First Nations title, election promises and jurisdictional questions. Lastly, over 60% of New Brunswickers are opposed to the sale. You must put the question to the people, either via referendum or as a campaign issue during the upcoming election. I hope and pray that you will see reason and halt any further negotiations until the legal and moral concerns are settled.Flag

Name: William Cox on Feb 16, 2010Comments: As a former employee of NB Power for 38 years i feel very sad to think that the only way out for NB Power is to sell.I can't see looking at the options that it could not function with out interferance from the Goverment.(just remember how many times it has bailed them out in the past) .Also I do not see the need to have Goverment dessions put to a vote but when the Goverment is elected on a promise not to sell then this is a situation where the public should have a say. And they will come Sept. I just hope it is not to late.Better keep looking at Kent I don't know where else the Liberals will get any suport. One thing for sure Liberals will go DOWN in historyFlag

Name: April & Andrew Hines on Feb 17, 2010Comments: We do not agree with selling any part of NB Power to any party. We are ashamed to say we voted Liberal in the last election because we thought Shawn Graham would be different ~ we won't make the same mistake again. NB Power belongs to the people of New Brunswick and it must be their decision whether to sell or not. Democracy is dying in New Brunswick!Flag
