David JohnsonMr. McCarthy's egregious lack of leadership throughout the entire budget vote fiasco would certainly seem,at the very LEAST, to indicate that he is no longer interested in the welfare of ALL of our children, or the community at large. That being the case, Mr. McCarthy has forfeited the right to remain in the position he now holds. We need a superintendent who will provide vision, leadership, and results. Mr. McCarthy can provide us with none of those things.
David JohnsonMr. McCarthy has displayed an egregious lack of leadership throughout the entire school budget vote process. It would seem to me therefore that Mr. McCarthy has forfeited ANY right to the position he now holds as he has abrogated his responsibility to ALL the students and staff of the SGF school district as well as the community at large.

AnonymousThis is absurd! I think the superintendent should get a raise for putting up with such a hostile/micromanaging board!

Michael NolanThe good people of SGF deserve so much better than Jim McCarthy. Hopefully this petition will bring an end to the dishonesty, lack of ethics, and despicable treatment of others.

John FarrellThe time has come and passed for the board to require Mr. McCarthy and his My way of spending and expanding or no Way position of mis- managment of our school system to go. If our school was properly operated we would not have one of the highest drop out rates in the tri-county. We would also have all of our graduates that could read, write clearly, understand what they read and write, add and subtract and actually be educated. Our system of build more , add more be bigger is not eductating our children. The tax payers want the school system run the same way a successful business would be run with pay increases only when merit has been met, prudence with the tax payers money, and our resources not squandered away like a drunken sailor in the manner Mr. McCarthy and the entire board currently operate. Not only should Mr. McCarthy be dismissed for a very poor job performance but the entire board of education should be re-called by vote an be replaced and be accountable. We have seen way to many hirings taken place of childrn of the governing board members voting on the hiring instead of recusing themselves. Also it would be nice to see all of the legal notices for meetings legally posted before and not after the meeting date has past in the Post Star.
AnonymousYou have a well respected district in large part because of the dedication of your superintendent. You will discover this when he tires of this nonsense and leaves. Such antics as this online petition damage your district's reputation among professionals and will make it very difficult to find a capable veteran superintendent who might have interest in the position. Cease this unproductive nonsense and move forward in a positive manner!
AnonymousI cannot believe he's still employed???
AnonymousOn probation with NYS and still holds a position?
Christian GarciaWhy is this man not gone already. As a student though my signature will most likely not count, I feel this man is a poor choice for the position. Everyday the stories i hear about him and his administration become progressively worse.
