I decided to make up a Petition because I have heard from several students and parents about their frustration when it comes to Mr. Gabriel Sauro the Undergraduate Criminology Advisor at SFU Burnaby. The intention is not to get him fired, but to raise attention about Mr. Sauro's failure to fulfill his role as an adequate advisor. Whether it is his apathetic attitude, his fruitless advice, or an unwillingness to help, please sign this petition if you have experienced these or have had any other negative interactions with Mr. Sauro. Upon the completion of a course you are given out a questionnaire to evaluate the professor and/or TA, but there has never been an evaluation on advisors. Advisor's may seem necessary only when choosing courses or when graduating, however, they also have an important role in helping or hindering your progression through university. Therefore I believe that this issue should not be ignored any longer.
