Comments: We did some tests over near there and the contact that is a barrier between the aquifer and the abandoned landfill is actually thinner. There is actually a certain amount of leachate penetrating into the aquifer there. Refer to Scott Schoefernaker's dissertation for details. -Geology

Comments: Shelby Farms is a unique urban park - please don't ruin it with a poorly planned road. Consider Burns Park in Little Rock as a great model. Lots of high use areas, that can earn revenue for sports activiites and lots of open space, trails, archery, etc. A park for everyone - without traffic hazards and poor air quality.

Comments: The proposed parkway threatens the quality of life for all of those who find refuge at Shelby Farms - from the songbirds to the stroller-pushing families. Shelby Farms provides a refuge, an opportunity for recreation and a natural forum for community at its play and picnic areas. Please do not destroy one of the County's most precious public assets.

Comments: This is the only park in Memphis that offers these amenities and it centrally located. Memphis is way behind in parks to begin with and it would probably make people who are considering moving into Memphis prefer other cities with better city parks.
