A BIKE PARK IN SAN FRANCISCO?

The San Francisco Bay Area was the birthplace of mountain biking. With the closure of many trails throughout the Bay Area, San Francisco has the ability to create a unique facility in one of its park’s green spaces.

Many cities have seen the need for more outdoor activities and have addressed them with a controlled, environmentally conscious bike park. New York’s, Central Park, Seattle’s Colonnade and Woodland Park jumps, Pleasanton’s BMX Park, and Cupertino’s Calabazas bike park to name a few. A bike park would contain features such as dirt jumps and built obstacles for all skill levels. More information is available at www.sfdirtlab.com/bikeparks .
