Comments: We must work day and night to get rid of the statute of limitations on sex abuse crimes. We must remember the survivors and never let their pain be forgotten or the crime go unpunished.

Comments: there should not be any state statute of limitations covering sexual abuse laws as research has proven that these incidents do not affect their victims for years to come. I think it is unconstituional and more than that these children did nothing wrong but were abused and now these abusers are still walking the streets. And next time you may be the parent of an abused child. Think about it and demand it. Thank you. Frank Camp I know peronally as I was a victim and now it has messed my life up and I have no recourse at least make them register as a sex offender whether you do away with the limitation or not. And the Texas Legislature and the whole damn Texas government is part of this obscene abuse of justice, so go on and keep hurting children and let them go free, after all they are just molesters huh You chickenshit bastards.

Comments: due to the psycological abuse caused by child molestation and the unability to discuss and deal with said situation, it is imperative that the statute of limitations should be lifed on sex crimes against children. stop protecting the abuser and punishing the victim. reverse the cycle

Comments: i am a survivor of sexual abuse. you cannot put such a short time limit on something that occurs over such a long time. and takes such a long time to come to terms with, just to comprehend what has happened. these memories come back slowly over years, and no one can say how many yrs it will take, a crime like this against children, in my opinion is worse than murder, because my soul was murdered, and it is too late for justice. not until i had my own daughter did i see the urgency in getting people like him off the street, and called the police to report the crime. it was 2 wks after my 28th bday,...2wks too late. i dont have alot of money to seek legal counsel for a civil suit, as law enf suggested,.. so basically i cant afford any justice, i dont get any help with counseling or anything, and my father walks free to abuse others. the avg child molester assaults 67 children. i hope one of them is not yours or mine.
