Well here we go. the East Riding of Yorkshire Council buries things so deep in their website you'll never know they are there unless you get tipped off!
Once again the Council is looking at land around Bridlington and Sewerby, so that they can develop greenfield sites into residential housing.
We are a small village with our own identity. Sewerby is peaceful, tranquil and very pretty and we in Sewerby do not want this here!
There is plenty of space on the southside of Bridlington, go and build there.
But why should more houses be built in the first place. The schools in Bridlington are over subscribed, we'll be lucky to keep what's left of our hospital. There are more Charity Shops than anything else.
If the Council want to do anything constructive then i suggest that they clean up Bridlington 1st. Create a "cafe culture" with outside dining and close some of the streets to through traffic, making our streets safer.
