I would like to see if there is interest in petitioning the county to install a sewer system down our street.  Currently, the system is on the south end of the street but does not come down where it is needed most, at the north end.  I would like to petition the County Commission to run the sewer lines all the way down the street.  From what I understand, we are on a list of planned neighborhoods for a sewer system but the county does not have funds at the moment.  My intention is to go in front of the Commissioners during public comment  and ask them to consider our neighborhood ASAP for a sewer system.  We need to bring awareness to our street.  

I believe now is a good time to go to the commission as the water quality is at the forefront of the news.  Our street is uniquely situated between Bessey Creek and Hidden River and our septic systems directly impact the water quality as well as the health of our residents every time it floods.  The kids like to play in the standing water, but with the contaminants that must be in it from the septic fields, it is very unsafe.
