Given that the hockey season started in October, that the season is already almost 20% completed, and that a dispute between DirecTV and Versus has resulted in DirecTV subscribers being unable to watch hockey games broadcast on Versus, it is unconscionable that DirecTV and Versus have not been able to negotiate a settlement to their dispute. The dispute is causing harm to the public interest everywhere as hockey fans who subscribe to DirecTV are being denied the opportunity to see National Hockey League games being broadcast on Versus. We respectfully request that the FCC get involved and mediate this dispute as quickly as they can so that hockey fans throughout America can once again watch hockey games broadcast on Versus as part of our DirecTV subscriptions.
