For a very long time the rate of pay for servers in Georgia has been $2.13/hr. Most companies have no intention on paying anything more anytime soon. Did you know that in other countries their servers are paid a lot more an hour and tips are just additional. I have been in this line of work for eleven years and can say that there is good money to be made. However, the value of the dollar is almost nothing. Why is it that taxes are being raised left and right along with gas, energy and everything else that costs to live including minimum wage, but not our hourly pay. I mean how bad can a couple of dollars added to $2.13 really be? It doesn't make sense and it seems that our position is taking a pay cut when everything else is rising. Every server knows that sometimes you have to work a little too hard for that $2.13. So let's raise a million signatures to get this petition moving in Congress. We need to form some type of union or law that requires us to receive a raise every now and again. Please sign and have all of your friends to sign and join me with my journey to Washington.
