Name: Betsy Colin on May 8, 2007Comments: She feels she is above the law. She drove while drunk, didnt attend her alcohol classes then drove on a suspended license. SHe needs to be shown as an example that the rich are no different when it comes to the laws of the land

Name: Anonymous on May 8, 2007Comments: All ppl should be held equally within the laws. breaking the law should be the same for everyone. everyone knows that drinking and driving is wrong, as well as driving with a suspended license. Lame excuse to blame someone else for her irresponsibility - she is an ADULT, supposedly.

Name: Sharon Robinson on May 8, 2007Comments: this is another example of celebrity vip-ism. why should this even be put before the govenor, he has many many more important things to spend his time on. I admire Arnold for the things he has done for Calif. This is something no one else would get unless they were Paris Hilton.

Name: Charlotte Beck on May 8, 2007Comments: Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Having more money than the average american is no reason to forgive or excuse. If I drove drunk and while my license was revoked, I would have to serve the time. Paris should not be given special treatment in jail. Being in the general population would be a VERY GOOD 'REALITY CHECK' for her. If she is separated, then she is still has no clue how people are really punished for their crimes.

However I will sign this petition to help ensure that Ms. Hilton does all 45 days for breaking the law (again). Hopefully she will learna real life lesson and realize that she cannot do whatever she wants and her money will buy her out of it. Thank you~ Wendy South

Name: Lisa L. Hawkins on May 8, 2007Comments: Paris should be treated just like everyone else, that means going to jail for breaking the LAW! I don't know who she or her parents think they are, but just because they have money doesn't mean they are above following the rules. Her parents are setting a pretty pathetic example for her and everyone else watching. Stop trying to bail her out and let her deal with REALITY for once in her spoiled little life! In the long run, this might be the most POSITIVE experience she'll ever have, plus it might just save her or someone elses life.

Name: Alexandra on May 8, 2007Comments: The petition for the gov to free paris only says to forgive her for DUI, but she's not only going to jail for that, some people forget she was driving without a license and the law clearly states: If you drive with a suspended or revoked license, you can be fined and jailed and your vehicle may be impounded. At least she still has her car! And what example would governor Schwarzenegger set if he steps on a judge's decision

Name: Anonymous on May 8, 2007Comments: paris hilton thinks she is so above everyone else that she shouldn't serve jail time, and stoops to the lowest level to try and get Mr. Schwarzenegger to pardon her. Whatever! Lame-o, paris hilton. I'm all for her serving jail time, ladies and germs, and miss snob queen should eat humble pie every once in a while.

Name: Crystal on May 8, 2007Comments: I truly believe that the elite should have no special pardons in a case like this. She broke a law. It's not like she simply didn't pay a parking ticket or let one of her little rodents take a crap on the White House lawn...she was driving while drinking. Heaven forbid that she got into an accident and injured or better yet, killed herself..let alone an innocent victim! Suck it up you insignificant, spoiled waste of human flesh!!

Name: Heather Armstrong on May 8, 2007Comments: How could she not have known...CHP had her sign a statement that her license was suspended one of the many times she was pulled over. She had her chance to get her ducks in a row and she flagrantly disregarded the law. She needs to take responsibility for her actions and stop blaming her poor publicist. Is it really his job to make sure her license is not suspended anyways

If you sign a document you are legally responsible for the contents of said document. And, having someone else tell you what they think is in the document does not relieve you of the responsibility for the contents of the document you signed.
