Comments: My grandfather was Albert T. Webb born in TN in 1880. His father was a Thomas A. or possibly Thomas John born in GA approx. 1855 - 60. I had a male cousin submit DNA to the Webb surname project. We are a close match to other Webbs, but cannot connect the dots. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated.

Comments: I just got your book on our feisty Scotch-Irish ancestors, and am delighted to know, by the paper trail, that we are related. This DNA test will help all of us WEBBs get the various branches of our family really straight and give others a clue as to where to find their own paper trails. Please do this simple test. No needles, just a cheek swab. Your position allows you to set an example for those who are leary about DNA technology. Your example is a simple was to say that DNA is legitimate science and will help them in their search for their ancestors. It's such a simple thing for you to do with such big possiblilties amd ramanizations for others of the WEBB surname. I suspect that when other Senators hear of your participation, they too will take this test and many other families will be helped, directly by their participation, and indirectly by the many people who are encouraged to do the same because of their example. Be the first, and get the ball rolling.

Comments: Senator, I hope you will consider joining us. My eastern Tennessee Webbs have been traced back to John and Jesse Webb who served as scouts with Gov John Sevier and were awarded land grants in Jefferson County, TN. It is possible we have a common ancestor in previous genearations.
