Name: Anonymous on Jan 13, 2009City: MilwaukeeUS State: WIComments: I grew up playing in the seminary woods. Now as an adult I still enjoy quiet walks on the trails through the many wildflowers in spring, crunchy leaves in the fall, and sparkling snow in the winter. These woods are a gift, please think very carefully so they are not destroyed.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 30, 2009City: FranklinUS State: WIComments: On behalf of Wisconsin Metro Audubon Society, I strongly urge protection of Seminary Woods not only because it is the last remaining quality natural woodland of its kind in Milwaukee County, but also because it is an important stop over for migrating birds.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 17, 2009City: WauwatosaUS State: WIComments: This is the only mesic forest in Milwaukee Co. This is the only place that Milw urbanites can experience a true diverse woodland in the county. The forest and adjacent grassland have been loved and purged of most invasive plants. This treasure needs preservation; to do otherwise would be sinful.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Sep 3, 2009City: MilwaukeeUS State: WIComments: I was on a walk tonight with my husband and dog. We walked through the forest as the sun set and a full moon rose. As we walked through the field next to the woods a fog spanned across the wild flower field. I spot a owl sitting in a tree above my husband as he walked past with the dog. We see a deer that proceeds to walk along side us for awhile. Curious of us just as much as we were curious of her. In my time in these woods and the we energies field I have seen countless deer, including a fawn literally a foot away from me, hawks, coyotes, owls, birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and countless wildflowers and plants that are too many to mention. The Seminary Woods and the adjoining We energies represents one of the last unprotected greenspaces. Not only is it a place for the animals and a place for people to clear there minds from the daily grind but this is also a place that is essential for the protection of Lake Michigan from storm water runoff. Please save our seminary woods and the we energies wildflower fields. These places are special.Flag
