Comments: If we let Seminary Woods slip through our fingers, our state and future generations will be much the poorer for our short-sightedness and refusal to work to preserve it. Please work to designate Stewardship Funds to preserve Seminary Woods.

Comments: Seminary Woods is one of the last relatively untouched areas in the Milwaukee area and must be preserved. I fully support the call to preserve it.

Comments: For so many reasons, Milwaukee County cannot afford to lose this treasured property. It could as easily be called Sanctuary Woods for the refuge it provides to birds, plants, and trees. There are some places that must be kept from development and this is certainly one of them.

Comments: A bad cause will ever be supported by bad means and bad men ~ Thomas Paine It is time to do some soul searching. In one respect every Natural Area has a common uniqueness... It takes everyone forever to preserve it, But one person and one time to destroy it.” - E.J. Koestner

Comments: We should be expanding this to more than just the 60 acres. The entire Cousins Center Facility, St. Mary's School, St. Francis Seminary, St. Annes, the senior housing complexes, and the 2 schools are all part of a larger 'ribbon" of land that provides a unique resource and impact on the neighborhoods and communities it touches.

Comments: Please keep the woods in its nature state. We have enough subdivisions and condos in the Milwaukee area. We need to preserve areas now not regret letting the land go in the future.

Comments: Due to the fact that the Milwaukee Archdiocese is in dire need of money and has put the Cousins Center up for sale, we need to protect and preserve Seminary Woods before it too could be put up for sale for development purposes. The loss of this woods would be a great loss. Please use the Stewardship Funds for purchase of this beautiful wooded area.

Comments: I used to live two blocks from the Seminary Woods. It is a very special place. The mature beech stands are remarkable and the understory of Carpinus is gorgeous. This needs to be preserved. It is a rare remnant of our past.

Comments: We have so few areas in the city which have been preserved and which will allow our future generations of people AND flora/fauna to survive and thrive with some of our history intact. We do NOT need more condos and houses built on land which is now green and growing. I am a realtor and I believe this with all my heart. We need to treasure our REAL treasure...our woods, our fields, our streams. Nancy Counter
