Please work to designate Stewardship Funds to preserve Seminary Woods.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 27, 2008City: GreendaleUS State: WIComments: For so many reasons, Milwaukee County cannot afford to lose this treasured property. It could as easily be called Sanctuary Woods for the refuge it provides to birds, plants, and trees. There are some places that must be kept from development and this is certainly one of them.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 28, 2008City: MilwaukeeUS State: WIComments: We should be expanding this to more than just the 60 acres. The entire Cousins Center Facility, St. Mary's School, St. Francis Seminary, St. Annes, the senior housing complexes, and the 2 schools are all part of a larger 'ribbon" of land that provides a unique resource and impact on the neighborhoods and communities it touches.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 29, 2008City: St. FrancisUS State: WIComments: Due to the fact that the Milwaukee Archdiocese is in dire need of money and has put the Cousins Center up for sale, we need to protect and preserve Seminary Woods before it too could be put up for sale for development purposes. The loss of this woods would be a great loss. Please use the Stewardship Funds for purchase of this beautiful wooded area.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 1, 2008City: MilwaukeeUS State: WIComments: We have so few areas in the city which have been preserved and which will allow our future generations of people AND flora/fauna to survive and thrive with some of our history intact. We do NOT need more condos and houses built on land which is now green and growing. I am a realtor and I believe this with all my heart. We need to treasure our REAL treasure...our woods, our fields, our streams. Nancy CounterFlag
