52 MilwaukeeWIIt is imperative that we make every effort to protect and preserve the Seminary Woods at a time when destruction and exploitation of our precious land and resources are occurring at an alarming rate.
53 MilwaukeeWIThis parcel is critical to the health of the natural environment and the beauty and high standard of living of Milwaukee County. I strongly encourage support of efforts to save Seminary Woods.

55 MilwaukeeWIIn my mind's eye I can still see the yellow maple leaves on a bright October day I walked those woods hand in hand with a dear friend now dead and shared a picnic supper with him among those hallowed gravestones. This treasure must be preserved or we are mad!
56 MilwaukeeWIThe Seminary Woods is a treasure for the entire city. It is a place one connects to our essense as human being. When such places are protected by common intent, our community is strenghtened.

76 MilwaukeeWIIt is essential that beatiful green spaces be preserved for current and future generations. Protection of these woods is an appropriate use of the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Fund

78 MilwaukeeWIThis woods is on the SEWRPC top 10 unprotected sites for ecological value due to significant plants. The beech trees on this site are particuarly valuable. In an area that is rapidly developing, and often being developed despite a need to preserve green space, Seminary Woods has even more value for protection.
79 MilwaukeeWIThe Seminary Woods must be saved at all costs.

89 Mount HorebWII grew up in St. Francis and my parents still live there. The Seminary Woods are important to the city as a cultural icon as well as an environmentally protected area. The Stewardship Fund is a marvelous program in that landowners are rewarded for their commitment to conservation. Preserving this important urban green space is a must, especially considering the development that has taken place on the lakefront and elsewhere in the city.

100 MilwaukeeWIThese woods and access to them must be preserved; now more than ever,in this technological age, we need to remain connected to nature. The woods are a daily source of peace and joy for me and my family. I love visiting the grotto, teaching my daughter about the plants, sharing walks with new people who inevitably become friends. The other day, my daughter and I had the honor of watching a great horned owl and her two offspring calling to each other in the pines. We shared this unique experience with 7 other people who we did not know. This sense of community and wonder could never be duplicated in a strip mall or housing development. Please save our woods!
