View Manifesto 2010 charter here (PDF)As the United Kingdom anticipates the most significant general election for more than a decade the Social Enterprise Coalition, led by its new CEO Peter Holbrook, has launched its own charter 'Manifesto 2010' as an envisioning statement and a call to action by politicians of all parties and to the social enterprise sectors across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The SEC is seeking to engage more directly with government by asking MPs and prospective parliamentary candidates from all parties to formally sign up to the charter commitments pledging to support the growth of the social enterprise sector over the next ten years by tripling its contribution to the economy.I was inspired a few days ago by a solitary message of support for the manifesto on Twitter from a social entrepreneur saying “I have just signed up to the SEC charter”.
