After seeing the rampant corruption of the ARP leadership during the convention and more recently during the attempt to remove the properly elected leadership (Russ Millete and Debbie Brown), I changed my registration to "other". I refuse to change back to a registered republican or donate to the party until the rightfully elected leadership is seated! Once this happens, I will gladly once again join the ARP!

    Comments: I urge the Alaska GOP to adhere to the election results, and not allow itself to be manipulated by these maneuvers. It is because of the actions of the Alaska GOP, with Mr. Ruedrich in charge, that I was seriously considering changing my party affiliation to Independent. It was only when it became known that a new person would chair, that I abstained from doing so. I have been a registered Republican for decades, and have always faithfully shown my support with my votes. I cannot abide the public shenanigans any longer, and was counting on a new hand at the helm to rein in the inhouse fighting and bickering, and return the Party to a professional organization that listens to it's members and does not seek to widen the rift between philosophical factions.

    Comments: I was elected as a state delegate for my district. One week before the state convention, I was informed that it was decided to bump me off the delegate list in favor of someone else. Had I not fought this, I would have been denied my opportunity to serve. The outgoing leadership then inappropriately convened the state convention during the vote, and actively encouraged everyone to sabotage the re-convention. This leaves no doubt in my mind that these accusations against our elected leadership is nothing but blatant attempts for the corrupt old guard to retain power. To them I say: I'm sorry your choice successors did not win, but please stop attempting to destroy the party over it.

This is just one example of MANY. The Republican National Convention is another great example of corruption beyond belief. Randy and his ilk need to expelled, a full audit of ALL of the monies for all of the years that this hasn't been done and much more must be accomplished. The Alaska Republican Party needs a good housecleaning as does the Legislature and Congress. Then I would be open to supporting the Republican Party again.

A willingness to go along to get along, and a predisposition to ignore critical national issues that are affecting our local economies, are serving to tear apart the fabric of our country and our State. How do you explain the fact that leftist ideals have been inserted into the Sate's value sytem via Public venues, with the help of Republicans who should know better? The left gained by stealth and cleverness. Republicans need to read and understand the Alinsky playbook. The fact that the Republican Party bosses did not respect the wishes of the people in the last primary is telling: the Republican Party and its platform lives in word only. I am throroughly disgusted! Those who have miserably failed to bring us success have no business impeding the work of others who do have a sense of who they are and where they want to go.
