The 2010 UWF Athletic Visionary plan has proposals for the development of various facilities on the Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary. The proposal includes a three-hole golf course, driving range, intermural fields and two parking lots. The UWF Student Environmental Action Society and its supporters wish to preserve this area and prevent its development.
