The petition

Dear Josh Wilcox,

The greatest leaders and achievers in history were those who were supported by an adoring public. You are one of the greatest football players in University of Oregon history. As a member of the 1995 Rose Bowl team, you played a critical role in the success of that team. And Duck fans loved you for it.

Now it's time for you to once again assume the other role Duck fans love you for: the professional wrestler known as "Sea Bass".

Those Rose Bowl season moments were unforgettable. But they were only exceeded by Sea Bass taking the ring at the Lane County Fairgrounds in Eugene, Oregon, with thousands of fans screaming one name in unison: Sea Bass.

As you were carried out on a stretcher after being double-crossed by your wrestling partner, fans, in tears, were hysterical and wondered if you would ever walk again. Josh Wilcox walked again. But Sea Bass never did.

Was that any way for Sea Bass to go out? On his back?

We don't think so.

Sea Bass must rise.

After more than a decade of retirement, now is the time for Sea Bass to walk again. The chance exists for you to emerge as a uniter in this divided community, bringing people from all walks of life together.

You can hear it now.

Sea Bass!

Back at the fair grounds; ONE NIGHT ONLY!

Sea BASS!

We want you back. The time has come for your triumphant return and we simply say in unison;

SEA BASS!

Sincerely,
The Friends of Sea Bass
