Support Scheduling Flexibility for Excellence

51 Signatures Goal: 100

We, the undersigned parents, students, and community members, strongly urge the San Dieguito Union High School District and the Board of Trustees to support increased flexibility in scheduling to support speech and debate and the arts programs at LCCHS. The district has determined that students will no longer have the option of taking seven periods on campus - including off-campus independent study PE, marching band, and theater tech. They have also eliminated all semester electives. While we understand the budget constraints that prompted these decisions; the financial savings appear to be minimal, and the cost of lost opportunities in band, theater, debate, ASB are tremendous.
