204 Scott DavisMemberTierasanta SDAThe genius of America is in protecting minority interests. Thus, the melting pot adds ever more diversity and the sum is worth more than the parts. Religious organizations should teach moral lessons. And influence softly. The public square of a secular republic is no place to make religious arguments.

227 Rick KolstadConcerned CitizenSunnysideTo advocate for passage of this proposition is to help accelerate the establishment of additional religious values and religion-related laws. The ideal solution would be to proclaim the USA a secular nation. For the Church State Council to support passage of Proposition 8 flies in the face of not only their very name, it negates the purpose of their establishment. For them to claim that passage of this is to preserve religious freedom is disingenuous at best and flies in the face of true Christian principles.
228 Myron MillermemberCalimesa, CAI cannot believe the bigotry and ignorance of those supporting a yes vote on Prop 8. I have several same sex couple friends and I cannot believe how devasting it would be for them to have a yes vote win the election. VOTE "NO"
