1039 Melvin BrayMr.Buckhead Community FellowshipThis is a matter of grace, of which Jesus says, "Freely you have received; freely give." At the end of the day, there is no biblical mandate for us to determine (be the final or intermediate word on) the right- or wrongness of homosexuality. God does, however, offer an unmistakable call for us to live in grace toward all creation--including homosexuals. In a democracy, this in part means affording all adults the same privileges under the law to be legal bound/committed to one another and recognized as such.
1040 Jiggs GallagherPublic Affairs Specialist, California State University, San BernardinoPalm Springs SDAI believe we can embrace a concept of marriage that includes gay and lesbian individuals. I do not think the legalization of same-sex marriage in California is a threat to heterosexual marriage, nor do I think it dishonors God.

1045 AnonymousThe California Constitution guarantees equal treatment under the law to all its citizenry. Its unacceptable that outside interests have invaded our state to promote their aggenda of fear and ignorance. I was very impressed by the message of the Aventist Church in this matter, and as such helped me decide to vote NO on Proposition 8.
