I am opposed to the banning of spare blocks (SD45)

The petition

Our school district has decided to ban spare blocks from all students. This new policy affects all SD45 secondary schools (Sentinel, Rockridge and West Van). Students in grades 11 and 12 are not allowed any spare blocks. Instead, spare blocks will be replaced with supervised study blocks. Attendance to these study blocks is MANDATORY. The Provincial Government created a new policy that changed funding from a per student basis to a per class basis. If students have spare blocks, schools get less funding. It is unfair that the government causes our school district to force us to attend a class. Sign this petition if you agree this new policy is ridiculous and want to KEEP SPARE BLOCKS!
