The Best of the Best, the Greatest Transatlantic Liner ever built, sadly she came too late to be remembered by the Generation of Today. Everyone knows the Queen Mary in California. Now lets make them remember the Great United States in Philadelphia

    Comments: Ships such as the SS Independence & SS United States merit preservation and adaptive/creative reuse in every sense of the word. These vessels set a standard for mid-century transatlantic journeys, and incorporate sleek lines and elegance. They are to be admired, cherished, and learned from, & not sunk like the SS Constitution (sister of SS Independence). My mother sailed on all 3, and has very happy memories. These are the last 2 remaining of American-built ships. Be a saviour!

    Comments: took the blue riband off the queen mary for speed her sister the ss america was left to decay and sink help this wonderful ship get back on her feet and do the thing she loves in philadelphia the birth place of america people just drive past her not paying any attenion to her help her to become great again
