Name: Mark Taylor on Jan 5, 2007Comments: For the southport music scene to grow its essential that a town like southport has its own station,I am a fan of Martin Hovdens wednesday slot as its giving local bands young and old a chance to put there tastes and influences across. The Southport live music scene has never had it so good mainly in my opinion to the likes of Martin showing great interest for the local bands, good luck all at S C R. Mark Taylor singer with the Marmosets.Flag

Name: Mark Taylor on Jan 5, 2007Comments: The Southport live music scene has never had it so good and in my opinion its largely due to the efforts of Martin Hovden,of whom now has his own show on wednesday evenings featuring local musicians. As further progress is needed to push the Southport music scene on another notch it is essential we have a station that promotes this kind of thing..good luck all at S C R.. mark taylor,,the Marmosets.Flag

Name: Sharon on Jan 5, 2007Comments: I would like to lend my support for the application of a full licence for Southport Community Radio. During the 2 RSLs, which were only a month in duration each, it has acquired a lot of local support. It provides a good mix of music and information that is pertinent to the area it serves. This is combined with the fact that the DJs are indigenous too and therefore have a good local knowledge. Listening is a pleasure. I sincerely hope that the application is successful and the station goes from strength to strength. Good luck to all involvedFlag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 5, 2007Comments: This is giving people in the southport a local station,Dune is nothing more than a sponge for network shows ... These people at SCR are giving back to the area a service in their own time ..A reward of a full time service would be very positive for the listeners ,the the area and the team at southport community radio.. They are putting local radio.., with local radio news and info with true local people on air and behind the scenes back on the map Radio groups are the death of local radio...Once local radio was the voice of the community...now long gone... My vote is to give John Jessop and his team the community radio in southport ..A service to suit all ages ..not a service that suits the age group of people most radio stations want to hit for radio sales. Local radio..in the form of community station in my view is the answer..a great service nice rslFlag
